KENNEBUNK- Kennebunk Elementary School is implementing technology, a campus security system called Ident-A-Kid Visitor Management.
Kennebunk Elementary School Principal Ryan Quinn said “It’s a formalized check-in security system that we’re piloting for the district this year.” The cost of the new security device is just under $1,000. Once the visitor’s picture is taken and they are given the go ahead, a visitor’s pass will be printed on the spot and the doors will be unlocked. “It’ll will give us just a few second more to size people up; it really is about reducing the risk,” said Quinn, who worked with the system during his tenure as principal at school in New Hampshire.
