Chester, NJ – Following an investigation of a student making an inappropriate comment, Chester School District Superintendent, Christina Van Woert, spoke on a few safety measures that their school district is implementing. Van Woert informed parents that the district hired a retired police officer as a school security coordinator. Ident-A-Kid Visitor Management System was installed in all three schools that minimizes visitors throughout the buildings and disruptions to the education programs. The district also updated door locks, installed 82 security cameras at the schools and redesigned parking lots and traffic patterns to improve student safety around motor vehicles.
